First Dental Visit
What to Expect At Your First Appointment
Visiting a new dentist for the very first time can feel overwhelming, but it shouldn’t! We want our patients to know exactly what to expect when they see us, but just know that you’ll still be surprised with all of the technology that we implement into our everyday patient care. This improves what we do, makes your appointment more personalized, and keeps you aware of everything related to your oral health.
Once You Arrive
To make it more convenient and time efficient for you, we’ve provided downloadable PDFs of our new patient forms. Print these forms and fill them out. Just remember to bring them with you to your first visit.
Since this is your first time to see us, you’ll typically be seen by one of our hygienists in a preventive care room. Let us know ahead of time if you have any specific concerns or needs that you want us to know about, so that we can prepare accordingly. Once you’re seated in the preventive care treatment room, we’ll take any necessary x-rays and complete a cleaning if needed. Every patient receives a comprehensive periodontal evaluation.
Care Consult
Dr. Christopher Chan performs a comprehensive examination, oral cancer screening, and needs assessment on every patient. We also implement the use of intraoral photography and digital radiography, improving Dr. Chris’ communication between him and the patients. If any treatment is needed, he will discuss them in our private consultation room with each patient to plan what steps should be taken.
